Sirius Star
Sirius Star built in the early 1930’s (could have been a little ship but there is no evedence.)
She came to us for a spruce up and re-varnish but there was so much rot in the cabin we had to remove it.
We replaced the wheel house and aft cabin with new mahogany sides and with plywood epoxy sheathed cabin tops, she had new side decks and all the existing brightwork was striped back to bare and revarnished. all new glass windows and brass frames were fitted.
All her spars were striped back to bare and revarnished and all new rope halyards were fitted.
Green Rival
A one off built by Latham’s boatyard in 1992 for the once owner of Green Island in Poole harbour
Green Rival is built with laminated ring frames and planked with pine strip planking with two diagonal veneers. She has a hydralic lifting keel with is ideal for the shallow harbour.
She has come back to us due to some rotten areas in the plywood subdeck. The entire deck has been removed, a 20ft section of beam shelf has been replaced and a new plywood subdeck has been fitted and epoxy glass sheathed over. She will now have a new teak sweped deck with varnished covering boards and margins.
Tortoise
X One design No 165
Tortoise has come in for the topsides to be epoxied. We have removed the paint back to bare wood and raked out the seams. We will leave the hull to dry out for a few months and then fill the seams with epoxy filler, Coat the hull with epoxy and then apply a faring compound. Sand the hull fare and apply epoxy primer and then the top coat.
Chris Craft (Capri)
The Owner bought her in to us for the hull to be striped and re-varnished and for the deck to be re-varnished. We removed all the chrome fittings and heat gunned the varnish from the hull, sanded the hull to remove all traces of the varnish, replaced dowels that had fallen out and then applied two coats of oil based stain. once dry we applied 8 coats of Epifanes PP varnish and 6 coats of Epifanes two pack gloss. The deck was rubbed and two coats of Epifanes single pack gloss applied

Westons Isle
Latham Built Launch
The new owner bought her to us for new decks, covering boards, sole boards and new engine installation. She was built as a purpose built bate dragging boat for Poole harbour so has had quite a hard life, but the Iroko planking has stood the test and is in perfect condition. The laminated stem will need some attention though.
Drinkerbell.
Huntress
Winter maintenance comprising of, painting topsides, cabinsides and inside the cabin. Some re-design and alterations.
Puffin II
built in 1897
Puffin broke her mooring in the bad weather last season and came in this winter for repairs. Her bulwark was damaged and needs to be refastened and have a new Iroko capping. The AWL GRIP paint work then had to be matched. Her bowsprit was damaged and needed repairs and a new stainless steel cranes iron was made and fitted. Her main mast also suffered from the scarph joints failing so new sections of Douglas fir were scarphed in and the mast re-varnished. Her garboard seams were raked out and re-caulked.
