Here we have Nausikaa, a 32ft 8ton Gauntlet 1939 we have completely restored and has undergone a 2 year rebuild to include all new bright work, brand new interior below decks, along with new rig , sails and many other improvements.

She came into us originally for storage, and was then sold to a new owner who wanted for us to restore her, with the intention of selling her upon completion. The new owner asked us to fit a new, more usable interior, keeping a traditional feel but to be as practical as a modern yacht.

 Work started by stripping all of her interior, all brightwork, antifoul, we then completed a large list of works including;

  • Interior completely stripped out and redesigned using Mahogany for all the joinery and Oak for the sole-boards
  • New GN Espace Yacht galley system and gas cooker
  • Fit new section of stem
  • Replace all floor and futtock bolts
  • New stainless steel hanging knees
  • Planking repairs below the waterline
  • Re-build the cockpit and create side lockers for extra stowage
  • Replaced a large lower section of mast due to some softness in the timber, caused by no drainage in the mast foot fitting
  • New bronze foot fitting, also new bronze stem head fitting and backstay fitting
  • New sails by Sanders Sails and all new standing and running rigging
  • New engine installation with a Nanni 2 cyl Diesel N 2.14 c 14 HP with low hours
  • New calorifier fitted
  • All new upholstery including new spray hood
